Seeking Understanding
"But let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD. Jeremiah 9:24
The purpose of this site is to help people understand God and His story. I am simply a local pastor who has a passion for the Scriptures in their entirety. I am amazed at how both Testaments are a single story; how the New Testament church grows out of it's Jewish roots; and how the Messiah and Savior Jesus, the Lion of Judah, continues to speak to His people through His Word, the Bible.
My desire is to know God better by exploring His Word together. On this site you will find a simple devotion from God's Word, updated every couple of weeks and archived in Biblical order. You will find links that I have found particularly interesting in my own search to understand God's story better.
I would be glad to respond to questions you have concerning particular ideas or Scriptures that you find either interesting or difficult. I certainly don't have all the answers, but we can search the Scriptures together. As you and others send questions, I will respond by e-mail, and also file them on their own page, so that we all might learn from the dialogue.
